S12HS Essential Health and Safety for DT Technicians

This Nationally accredited practical course will provide:

• Support staff/Premises Staff

In Design and Technology Departments ‘initial training’ on the Specialist Extension Level: S12 Essential H&S for Technicians

S12HS introduces technicians to a range of essential knowledge, practical skills and understanding. The activities will include:

•   H&S legislation, documentation and responsibilities
•   Undertaking risk assessments and maintaining control measures
•   Providing effective support for the D&T curriculum
•   Understanding LEV system
•   Essential routine maintenance
•   Managing D&T resources
•   Managing the D&T environment

This is a workshop-based course and will offer technicians a choice from a range of essential practical skills that can be taught during the session.

Please note – Certification is valid for a period of 5 years.
