In Design and Technology Departments ‘initial training’ on the Specialist Extension Level: S12 Essential H&S for Technicians
S12HS introduces technicians to a range of essential knowledge, practical skills and understanding. The activities will include:
- H&S legislation, documentation and responsibilities
- Undertaking risk assessments and maintaining control measures
- Providing effective support for the D&T curriculum
- Understanding LEV system
- Essential routine maintenance
- Managing D&T resources
- Managing the D&T environment
This is a workshop-based course and will offer technicians a choice from a range of essential practical skills that can be taught during the session.
