The course is suitable for both teachers and technicians\, working in all material areas of the subject. \nThe course will extend and update your knowledge and understanding of health and safety and will have a range of activities covering: \n\nCore standards\nEnvironmental issues\nRisk Assessment\nLegal issues surrounding delivery of Design & Technology\nLEV\, COSHH\, PAT\, Maintenance etc.\n\nPlease note: there is no machine training on this course.

The activities will include: \n\n  H&S legislation\, documentation and responsibilities\n  Undertaking risk assessments and maintaining control measures\n  Providing effective support for the D&T curriculum\n  Understanding LEV system\n  Essential routine maintenance\n  Managing D&T resources\n  Managing the D&T environment\n\nThis is a workshop-based course and will offer technicians a choice from a range of essential practical skills that can be taught during the session. \nPlease note – Certification is valid for a period of 5 years.
