DESCRIPTION:This Nationally accredited practical course will provide: \n\nTechnicians\nSupport staff/Premises Staff \n\nIn Design and Technology Departments ‘initial training’ on the Specialist Extension Level: S12 Essential H&S for Technicians \nS12HS introduces technicians to a range of essential knowledge\, practical skills and understanding. The activities will include: \n\n   H&S legislation\, documentation and responsibilities\n   Undertaking risk assessments and maintaining control measures\n   Providing effective support for the D&T curriculum\n   Understanding LEV system\n   Essential routine maintenance\n   Managing D&T resources\n   Managing the D&T environment\n\nThis is a workshop-based course and will offer technicians a choice from a range of essential practical skills that can be taught during the session. \nPlease note – Certification is valid for a period of 5 years.  \n
