DESCRIPTION:This Nationally accredited practical course will provide: \n\nTeachers\nTechnicians\nSupport staff/Premises Staff \n\nIn Design and Technology Departments ‘initial training’ on the Specialist Extension Level: S1HS Wood saws and S8HS Planer Thicknesser Machines \nThe course is suitable if you require a new certificate on this range of machines. This is not a refresher course for those who already have certificates or whose certificates have recently expired. The course consists of practical exercises during the day.  Machines covered will include: \n\nCircular saw\nNarrow band saw\nRadial Arm/Chop Saw \nThe Combined Planer Thicknesser\n\nYou will receive by email\, a course pack covering current legislation and the knowledge\, skills and understanding required to safely use this range of woodworking machinery in schools. If you have recently completed the D&TA ‘Core’ Elements Training\, and have submitted your portfolio of evidence\, you will be able to add this unit to your D&TA accreditation. \nPlease note – Certification is valid for 5 years\n
